Authentic tantric massage training in four weekends or a 7-day intensive. The training is open to all who are interested, whether or not you intend working professionally. Participation will be certified. For those interested in the professional qualification, the certification phase follows after the course (either 4 weekends or the 7-day intensive) and consists of practical work and a final assessment.
Part of a tantric journey is to learn to use the senses as a doorway to the present, to being in the "now", to being conscious of "what is" in any given moment. Our sense of touch is fundamental to our wellbeing. It is the only sense that a new born baby cannot live without. The brain makes compensations for the loss of all the other senses, but if we are unable to feel touch, we have no way of identifying the difference between ourselves and the outside world and it is impossible to identify a sense of self. Apart from that, touch is fundamental to the emotional wellbeing of a baby and those that do not receive loving touch sufficiently, very probably will develop serious disorders which last a life time. Perhaps it is true to claim that, although most of us do receive and recognise loving touch, we do not receive it sufficiently throughout our lives and do not develop this to its full potential.
In a very real way, Tantra addresses the fact that most of us do not know just how deep, loving and sensual touch can be experienced. Realizing the full potential of touch requires leaving the goal of getting something in return being left out of the equation. Only then is awareness in sensuality and sexuality possible."Our natural state of being is bliss. This training gives you the opportunity to experience what tantric touch and tantric massage is, both as the receiver and the giver. Furthermore you will experience an initiation into the dynamics of the tantric oil massage. Your sensuality will be enhanced and the level of bonding with a partner - be it a life partner or a friend - will deepen. All relationships benefit from this, your marriage, your love affair, your one night stands and your friendships. But most of all, you personally will benefit from the experiencing touch and tantric massage at this level.
Training content
The training consists of practical and theoretical work. Some of the work is experiential in nature. Learning authentic tantric massage is not just about learning a massage, it is essentially about your own inner transformation. The training in itself is a path of transformation as you experience yourself and others in a new, more conscious way. Unconditional love, holistic inclusion and expansion form the backbone of our work. We guide you gently through the course material.
Weekends
Eros I - tantric touch, tantric breathing, relaxation techniques, Lomi Body Awareness work
Eros II - introducing the tantric oil massage, chakra breathing exercises, Lomi Body Awaremenss work
Eros III - full body hot oil massage, chakra energy work, counselling skills
Eros IV - lingam and yoni massage, working with sexual difficulties, counselling skills continued
All the weekends include theoretical aspects of the work
7-day intensive
The seven days include all of the above in the same oder.

Professional certification
The certification phase of the training is optional. It consists of practical work (at least 10 supervised massage sessions) followed by a practical and oral assessment

Who are these retreats for?
All the retreats are open to all men and women, both singles and couples who are interested in Tantra. Those wishing to qualify as practitioners need to participate in all 4 weekends and then complete the practical work before the final assessment and certification.
Qualification
The participation of the course will be certified. The professional qualification Tantra Sacred Massage Practitioner follows practical's in the form of at least 10 practice massages and a practical and oral evaluation. Those who do not wish to qualify professionally need not fulfill these requirements.
General Info
Group size for weekends: 8 - 16 men and women, both singles and couples. We try to ensure equal numbers of women and men. Couples can choose to work with each other throughout the retreat in all the partner exercises
Group size for 7-day intensive: 6 - 12 participants (depending on venue size)
Personal boundaries
Nudity is not necessary in A Taste of Eros I, it is necessary for certain exercises from A Taste of Eros II, as we then start working with oil. You need to be comfortable with that. Personal boundaries are always respected. It is our intention that you feel comfortable with all aspects of the work. Explicit sexuality is not a part of the work.

Our work is professional, respectful and loving. We try to create an atmosphere of confidence and trust in which you feel comfortable to explore, learn, strengthen and grow.
Cost & Payment
The cost of the retreats is made up of the facilitation fee + the venue & accommodation for 2 nights including all meals. In the case of the one-week intensive training, the accommodation is for 6 nights including all meals.
Facilitation fee sliding scale: R 1000 - R 1500 per weekend (R 4000 - R 6000 for the 7-day intensive)
The sliding scale allows you to choose a price suitable to your pocket and in relation to the value that the retreat has for you. We wish to make our work more widely available while at the same time, give you the opportunity and responsibility of deciding what you are able to pay. Your payment does not reflect on the quality and quantity of what you receive during the retreat, you receive the full retreat work no matter what you pay. Please choose your fee honestly.
Venue & accommodation fee for residential trainings: This will depend on the venue and also which accommodation you choose. The price includes all meals (3 meals per day plus morning and afternoon tea/coffee).See actual fees below under Booking info for your area.

Payment
The venue fees are due with your registration.
In the case of non-residential trainings, a 50% deposit is due with registration. Balance payment is due 8 days before training begins.

Facilitators
Ma Anand Leandra is the founder of the Durga Tantra School and also runs a successful and busy Tantra Sacred Massage practice in Cape Town, Johannesburg and on the Durban South Coast. She was initially trained in tantric massage in Germany and then later by Ron Solo, an international Tantric Touch specialist. Her experience with tantric touch and tantric massage is vast and in addition, she is German qualified Psychoanalytic Art Therapist with over 30 years of experience in working with individuals and groups.
